Our Staff

The office of Summer Programs is a full-time department of Mercersburg Academy. The office handles all summer programs, both internal and external, and building rentals during the school year and summer months. Below is our full-time staff who are available Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • Coleman Weibley

    Director of Summer Programs
    Coleman Weibley joined Mercersburg Academy's Office of Summer Programs in November 2013, after spending more than 10 summers on Mercersburg campus coaching the summer swim clinics. A native of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Coleman Weibley has several years of camp experience at both Mercersburg Academy and the University of Tennessee.

    Coleman manages all summer program activity for both internal and external programs. He also is a Tippetts Hall dorm faculty member and serves as an assistant swim coach. 

    Coleman comes to Mercersburg from Florida State University, where he was the Director of Swimming and Diving Operations and Head Coach of FSU’s club swimming program, Club Seminole. Previous to working at Florida State, he held a similar position at The University of Tennessee (his alma mater), where he served as the camp director for the teams’ summer camps. Coleman holds a bachelor’s of science in education with a focus on recreation and sports management from Tennessee, and a master’s of business administration from Shippensburg University. 
  • Lauren Hoffman

    Assistant Director of Summer Programs
    Lauren Hoffman joins the Office of Summer Programs as a seasonal Assistant Director of Summer Programs. During the academic year, Lauren is an assistant director of athletics and the head softball coach at Mercersburg. Before coming to Mercersburg in 2016, she worked in the athletic department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. She has been head softball coach at her high-school alma mater, Whitesboro High School in Marcy, N.Y. (where she also worked in athletic administration and coached junior-varsity field hockey).

    Hoffman played varsity softball and varsity ice hockey at Union College in Schenectady, N.Y., where she was twice named All-Liberty League in softball and won the Athletic Director’s Award for leadership in hockey. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Union and a master’s in sport administration from Canisius College.
  • Brittany Shockey

    Administrative Coordinator

    Brittany Shockey joins Mercersburg Academy's Office of Summer Programs with three and a half years of previous summer camp experience. A native of Washington County, Maryland, Brittany enjoys reading, researching her future novel, and taking long walks with her beagle, Knightly.
