MAC campers woke up to a nutritious breakfast to energize for Great Outdoors. They returned to campus, and after lunch, they attended a meeting with Mercersburg Academy’s admission’s officers, Zach Swope and Leah Cook. Immediately succeeding the meeting were enrichments. The campers retreated from the impending weather to Main Hall for cabin time. All of the MAC campers wrote letters home today, so expect some letters! They spent the hour writing home and bonding with fellow campers. Cabin time concluded and H/T prep began. The Hurricanes and Tornadoes wrote their cheers and songs for the penultimate competition of the session. A pizza dinner refueled the campers for an eventful night of sports. Monsters and Mushrooms, Gaga Ball, and Endzone ran the campers around before their game night in the Simon Student Center. The campers were quick to bed tonight in order to rest for their exciting day tomorrow. The junior campers will go tubing and caving, while the seniors travel to Ohiopyle for white-water rafting.
ESL+ traveled through their daily class rotations. After going through each rotation they took a hiatus in the student center to play various games. Students played ping-pong, pool, and foosball. After dinner, they talked about their upcoming New York City trip. Groups were very meticulous when planning out each place they wanted to visit. After dinner, students prepared to perform in a talent show. Each student was incredibly creative and energetic during their performance.
Performing Arts Intensive spent their morning enthralled in Classes of African dance. PAI had some free time following lunch before starting their game intensive in the afternoon. They played improv games and shared during a workshop. They had a delicious, evening BBQ and pool time to wrap up a long day.
