Week two of Mercersburg Summer Programs started today! We welcomed soccer camp, STEAM camp, and another session of swim clinic.
Swim Clinics spent the majority of the afternoon outside of the pool, getting organized into blue and white lanes, and taking time to build their team and get to know each other through name games and other challenges, like organizing themselves in order by oldest to youngest without talking. It may have taken a while but the campers got it accomplished.
STEAM Camp has already been putting their creative minds together to design and create box murals. Each mural needs to have a theme that the team chooses. Some themes include space and Marvel. These box murals will serve as a defense in a water balloon fight on Wednesday. After dinner, campers built boats out of water jugs, rope, wood, and duct tape. They went to the pool to test their projects by safely transporting a counselor across the pool.
Soccer Elite Camp headed to the field right away where they worked on defense, offense, and other drills. We welcome more soccer campers tomorrow for Soccer Day Camp.
