The rain is turning Central Pennsylvania into an Eastern version of Seattle. It seems like the perfect day to post some pictures from Young Writers Camper Christopher L. Chris was a returning writer and was kind enough to send us some pictures from his awesome Dark and Stormy Summer. Hey, everybody! It’s good to see you again! Right now, I’m at the school library hitting the books. Or, maybe I actually just caught a book!
Anyway, this time of year is always cool. World Series baseball is here, and football is in full swing. But most of all, I love Halloween. It is one of my favorite holidays, because it reminds me so much of camp. However, even though I get to dress up at Halloween, it is still not the same as dressing up for cabin inspection. Remember those? I’m sure you all are practicing cleaning your rooms at home, so you can hit a home run during cabin inspection this upcoming summer.

Today we welcomed our Discovery Campers! We’re so excited to have them with us for this whole week. There are so many fun activities in store for them.
MAC campers are keeping busy as usual! We hit a bit of rainy weather today but that certainly didn’t stand in our way. Campers had a chance to climb, learn to pitch tents and hit the pool in their Great Outdoors. Never a dull moment!

Today MAC and JAC campers had an action packed day! And the small bouts of rain didn’t hold anyone back from having an awesome fun time!

Yesterday TAC finally got to have their chance at Hershey Park. There wasn’t a single non-rider in the group, which needless to say, made it a very exciting day. Click HERE to watch a video of Gespard riding a roller coaster!

Perhaps one might get discouraged when they see construction taking place on an academic campus. Where one sees frustration and clutter, I see dedication and rebirth. Mercersburg Academy is one of the top boarding schools in the country, and it has not attained that prestigious esteem by laying idly by.

Last week from April 10th through April 14th, Tim, of the Mercersburg Summer Team visited Spain to check up on some of our valued international camper families. He was blown away by the hospitality of the families at Liceo Sorolla, a private school in suburban Madrid dedicated to providing students with excellent English language immersion experiences.

Adventure Camp wouldn’t be adventure camp without a few off campus excursions. While our motto at camp is “just wait and see”, it’s a well known fact for campers that at any moment they could be whisked off to one of several exciting destinations. Every camper is taken white water rafting, the junior campers on the beautifully historic Shenandoah River, and the senior campers on the wild and exciting Youghiogheny River.
Mercersburg Summer is a one of a kind experience where kids from all backgrounds can come to expand their interests. Be sure to check out one of our programs today!
