It is extremely hard to believe that we are almost halfway through the last week of Adventure Camp. What an awesome summer it has been. These canoers seem to be enjoying their time at Cowan’s Gap where the Great Outdoors have taken many a Mercersburg Camper. Canoers learn the basics of paddling, participate in relay races and have been known to conquer an obstacle course or two while at Cowan’s Gap State Park where the water is calm and everyone is comfortable getting their sea…. well, lake legs!
What a beautiful day it was here today in Mercersburg! Mother nature helped us out with some much needed rain last night and managed to keep it sunny and cool for us all day today! It was truly refreshing to have a break from the past few week’s heat!
We hope everyone had an awesome school year & that you’re all ready for a super fun summer at Mercersburg! This past week, all of your counselors have been training for all the adventure we have planned for this summer, and we’re super excited to meet each and every one of you! From white water rafting, to a day trip at Cowan’s Gap, we’ve been experiencing everything that you’ll be doing this summer. From these five short days, I can definitely say that this summer will be one for the books. We hope that you’re ready to go–bags packed, smiles on, and LOTS OF EXCITEMENT!
MAC and TAC both had their trips to Cowan’s Gap this week.
Today Cowan’s was definitely the place to be! I ran into Maggie with her MAC wilderness skills group, Johnny and his MAC kayakers and all the TACs swimming at the lake.
