If anyone is ever in need of a good resource for summer camps, I have the perfect listing website for you! www.signupforcamp.com. The lovely people at signupforcamp.com decided to create a listing website not long ago and currently operate one of the more efficient, accurate and comprehensive summer camp opportunities websites out there. They’re motivated purely out of a desire to present parents and kids with a wealth of summer options in one convenient location. ‘N Slide!! At Mercersburg Adventure Camp we have a whole day dedicated to water activities. Water balloon tosses, wacky obstacle courses, drip drip drop and the coup de gras….. The Slip ‘N Slide. Not just any slip ‘n slide, this 40 luge of watery bubbles is the perfect way to cool off in the summer sun. No one is faster than me going down the hill, I welcome any challengers to meet me at the top this summer.

Any Minute to Win it fans out there? This show is catching on like wildfire and we at Mercersburg Summer can’t help but think that some of these games would be awesome to incorporate into adventure camp this summer. Johnny applestack, candy elevator, quarter drop, cup blow the game possibilities are endless. There could be a hurricane vs. tornadoes minute to win it showdown in store for this summer, all I know is these games are too fun for the good folks at NBC to keep to themselves.

Last week from April 10th through April 14th, Tim, of the Mercersburg Summer Team visited Spain to check up on some of our valued international camper families. He was blown away by the hospitality of the families at Liceo Sorolla, a private school in suburban Madrid dedicated to providing students with excellent English language immersion experiences.

Adventure Camp wouldn’t be adventure camp without a few off campus excursions. While our motto at camp is “just wait and see”, it’s a well known fact for campers that at any moment they could be whisked off to one of several exciting destinations. Every camper is taken white water rafting, the junior campers on the beautifully historic Shenandoah River, and the senior campers on the wild and exciting Youghiogheny River.

There’s something about a Mercersburg Adventure Camp campfire. Picture a rowdy group of campers and counselors belting their favorite camp songs, underneath the stars and nestled amongst the blue ridge mountains, where else but Mercersburg Summer? Whether you like singing camp songs, watching a hilarious cabin skit unfold or a good old fashioned s’more, campfires cement a summer full of memories in the hearts and minds of campers every session of Mercersburg Adventure Camp.

Whats happenin’ Adventure Campers! Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. At Mercersburg Summer we’re constantly rethinking what we do. Does anyone have a good idea for camp? Whether it be a new enrichment, activity, excursion or something else we haven’t even thought of yet, we’d love to hear it. Ultimately, our awesome campers are what make every summer so special, we’d love to hear from you!!
