Discover Fun at Mercersburg Summer Programs!

The week of July 22-26, Discovery Campers ages 8-12 will have the time of their lives in a safe and fun environment that embraces and appreciates the diversity of every camper. Our directors and counselors create an environment where campers can be themselves while making friends and enjoying new experiences.

What to Expect

Campers will be immersed in fun activities from enrichment classes to tubing Antietam Creek. Other activities include sports, camp competitions, swimming, visits to local attractions and much more. Campers will also enjoy an awesome day at Herhseypark for some wild rides and sweet games. All Discovery Camp participants also have the option to stay over on the final night for first overnight camp experience.

To make things convenient for parents, drop-off is at 7:30am and pickup is  at 5:30pm, which allows for plenty of time to get to and from work.

Adventure Activities

Discovery Campers enjoy a different slate of themed activities each day. Whether it’s traveling to a beautiful state forest for adventures or roving over acres of rides at Hersheypark, our group tackles each exciting challenge with smiling faces.  Safety and fun rule the day for any adventure.

The Great Outdoors

Travel to a local state forest area for a day of canoe rides, trail hiking, swimming, Frisbee golf, and other cool stuff.

Water Wackiness

Splash and dash in our signature Water Wars competition or casually meander down the winding length of a local waterway on our special Discovery Camp tubes. Qualified guides and counselors with water guns keep things safe and lively.

Sports Galore

You name it, we play it. Start with Kickball and Endzone, then move to Floor Hockey and Speed Soccer. Everyone plays and the emphasis is on fun, not on victory.

Amusement Ride-O-Rama

Hersheypark awaits Discovery campers who are ready to conquer the rides and attractions then gain a new perspective on North America’s five natural regions with a trip through the native plants and wildlife habitats of Zoo America.

Enrichment Activities

Campers take part in all kinds of fun enrichment activities during the week.  From Digital Arts to Culinary Delights, every camper gets to explore the wonders of a classroom setting that looks nothing like school.  A supportive and encouraging environment makes campers comfortable enough to try new endeavors and celebrate their accomplishments.
