All the counselors of Mercersburg Summer camp gathered at 9 AM this morning for a trip to the Wilderness Voyageurs. The two hours spent in the car gave us some time to rest up for the white water rafting expedition! When we got there we got a 20 minute training and explanation of all important rules and hopped straight into the rafts! We spent about 3 hours rafting through various rapids with silly names like “School of Rock” and “Million Dollar Wave”, most of us survived…. Just kidding, no worries we are all alive and healthy!
This trip was quite a bonding experience for the counselors! Stay tuned for more pictures from the rafting trip, they will be up on flickr tomorrow!

As Week 2 of Session 3 gets fired up, our campers dive headfirst into their second round of Enrichments and Outdoor Activities! It’s never a dull moment at camp, and it goes without saying that campers and counselors alike are having the times of their lives!

Mercersburg Adventure Camp is no stranger to a little friendly competition, and Day 3 of camp was no different! Both the MAC and TAC campers had an exciting, fun-filled day at Adventure Camp–between interesting Enrichment Activities and on-the-edge-of-your-seat Outdoor Activities, our campers are constantly on the go. Let’s be honest, though–who wouldn’t want to make delicious treats in Culinary Delights, or make paper airplanes in Physics? Don’t even get me started on the Outdoor Activities! MAC and TAC campers spent the day rock climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, and caving. Talk about exciting!

It’s so exciting to have the Robotics, Writing and the ESL camps all in full swing now!
The session three MAC and JAC camps have just started as well… so there is a never ending supply of things to do on campus
ESL and Robotics went climbing with Cat in the barn this week!! MAC and JAC’s got to know each other by playing some games on their first day of camp.

Everything is coming to a close here for session two. I can’t believe it! It’s all going so fast.
These past few days have been incredible. The TAC went to Hershey Park two days ago…
Yesterday, the last full day of camp, was jam packed!
MACs and TACs had a Slip-n-Slide… of course! It’s tradition…. and my favorite day of camp!
It’s hard to believe two sessions of camp have already come and gone…good thing we still have one more left!
I’m not ready to leave yet

It’s that time again!!
MAC and TAC both had their trips to Cowan’s Gap this week.
Today Cowan’s was definitely the place to be! I ran into Maggie with her MAC wilderness skills group, Johnny and his MAC kayakers and all the TACs swimming at the lake.
