Today was the official start of Session Two for MAC and TAC campers. It was so nice to see a lot of familiar faces from past years and also this past session. As for our brand new campers, we can’t wait to get to know everyone! Let the fun begin!!
Yesterday TAC finally got to have their chance at Hershey Park. There wasn’t a single non-rider in the group, which needless to say, made it a very exciting day. Click HERE to watch a video of Gespard riding a roller coaster!
Mac campers kicked of the day with their enrichment classes. It was the last one and the campers have been working hard on their projects, including videos, skits, and science projects. Then campers spent the afternoon in the great outdoors doing activities like canoeing, geocaching, rock climbing, and kayaking! It was the perfect day to be outdoors, plenty of sun but not too hot!
The Teen campers got the chance to head to Cowan’s Gap state park to take in the sun and go for a swim. While many decided take the plunge others decided took take a chance to rest on sand as an escape to their usually active schedule. Later in the evening both Mac and Teen campers gathered fireside to sing some songs and share some skits which they created. A particular highlight of the night was our director Tim’s “Snare Nosed Buzzard.”
Campers best get plenty of sleep tonight! They are in for an even bigger day tomorrow! We encourage you to leave us comments and be sure to check out the photos from today on our flickr page!
OK, clearly we couldn’t fool you! River climbing and rock rafting are made up sports, but considering the crazy adventure we go on here at Adventure Camp, I wouldn’t be surprised if it were true in the near future!
Blue skies and warm weather was the forecast for Day 2 of Adventure Camp, and we all know we like it when the weatherman is actually right! No one could ask for a better day to continue the excitement of yesterday’s opening ceremony and games. Laughter and smiling faces were in no short order today. To prove it, here’s a video of how much fun our campers have been having already!
Sunday marked the first day of the 2010 camp season and a whole slew of fresh campers. For those who had been here before, it was reunion time. For those that had just gotten to campus for the first time, it was a chance to see your new home for the next two weeks. Yippee! Many of the campers returning knew the counselors, so it was a wonderful opportunity to catch up on the past year.
